Mongold State Day Use area  
Mongold Day Use area is 1.5 miles west of Detroit Lake State Park. It%u2019s the only public boat launch facility on the lake featuring a swimming area, grass beach, picnic facilities and restrooms. Mongold is a year-round fee area.

Munson Creek Falls State Park  
The park is home to ancient western red cedar and Sitka spruce. A relic of an ancient rainforest, the world's second-tallest spruce -- at 260' tall and 8' in diameter -- lives here. Also an important salmon spawning ground, Munson Creek Falls tumbles 319', making it the tallest waterfall in the Coast Range. A trail system winds through the hills to the waterfall.

Muriel O. Ponsler State Park  
Picnicking with whale watching, beachcombing and a view of the beach. There are approximately five miles of sandy beach with China Creek to the south of the park.

Nehalem Bay State Park

Neptune State Park  
Benches set on a cliff above the beach give you an excellent view of Cumming Creek, wildlife and the rock-pounding waves. From this location, you can watch for whales, see a variety of birds, sea lions and the occasional deer in the creek. The creek is also a great place to look for agates. At low tide you can walk to the south to see a natural cave and tidepools.

Neskowin Beach State Park  
The long beach and Cascade headland are delightfully pristine. In the town of Neskowin, you'll find a general store, restaurant and two golf courses amid the posh cottages. Newberry National Volcanic Monument  
Newberry National Volcanic National Monument includes 50,000 acres of lakes, lava flows, and spectacular geologic features in central Oregon. The highest point within the Monument is the summit Paulina Peak (7,985 ft.) , showcasing views of the Oregon Cascades and across the High Desert. Newberry caldera, the crater of a 500 sq. mile volcano, holds two sparkling alpine lakes full of trout and salmon.

North Santiam State Park  
North Santiam State Park plays host to some of the most beautiful riverfront in the area. It is one of the finest steelhead fishing spots on the North Santiam River. Oceanside Beach State Park  
Located in the center of the community of Oceanside, this park offers some of the best agate hunting during the winter season when the sand is stripped away by ocean currents. During the summer season, the park is a popular place to beachcomb, explore tidepools and surf.
